First Bite: John Manderino

First Bite September 2021 features an interview and short play by John Manderino. Half of the original cast has returned to read the lead roles in Wolfman and Janice while Suze and Dewey provide insight and stage directions.

John Manderino is a playwright and the author of eight books. His most recent is a novel titled Bopper’s Progress, which received the 2017 International Fiction Award.
 
Manderino first wrote Wolfman and Janice as a short story, which ended up in my collection But You Scared Me the Most, Academy Chicago Publishers, 2016.
 

Wolfman and Janice was first produced by Acorn Productions, Suze Allen directing. It later became part of a collection of six short pieces titled Monstrous Love, produced in 2017 by Meetinghouse Theater,
Cynthia Thayer directing.

 

Michael Crockett is an artist, actor, writer and semi-retired educator.
