“Gun violence inevitable in a nation awash in guns”

“Opioid addiction growing worse”

“Substance use disorder rampant”

“More than one in five children in the US, live in poverty.”

“San Jose holds memorial for over 200 unhoused residents lost in 2023”

“Crisis of parenting” “Social media addiction”

“School to prison pipeline worsening”

“Justice system broken”

“Recidivism clogging nation’s prisons”

Is one of these headlines about you? Or someone you know? Or someone you love? How can we mend this brokenness? Who can we turn to? What if we turned to each other? Could we ease each other’s suffering by engaging in meaningful conversations and deep listening; courageous, raw and loving dialogues to bring about durable, positive, personal change?

As a safe and confidential space for sharing our stories, our issues, our hurts and brokenness, SafeSpace Saturday wants to be a part of the answer.

Lisa and Suze founded SafeSpace because we were never meant to shoulder our burdens and struggles alone. Sharing our stories connects us; lifts us up. And creates a web of hope and possibility and change.

Let’s be fully present for one another to feel seen and heard and appreciated for who we each are; what we’re going through. In this space, can we become more enlightened, more compassionate, more evolved and better invested in working together to solve the daunting issues of our time by starting with ourselves? To paraphrase Gandhi, can we “be the change we want to see in the world?”  We think the answer is a resounding “yes!”

Join Lisa and Suze in sitting together once monthly, in a place of active listening, personal narratives and unconditional empathy.
