June Ballinger presents an excerpt from The Crone Barrier, a solo work in development directed by Fay Alystine Simpson, exploring aging, sexuality, and what genuine power looks like later in life.
Remembrance Day, her previous solo work directed by Janice L. Goldberg, premiered at Passage Theatre in 2016. Based on her mother’s life as a British code breaker at Bletchley Park during WWII, it has since enjoyed subsequent productions. June has performed on Broadway, off-Broadway, and in numerous regional theatres across the country. Television and film credits include Only Murders in the Building, The Blacklist, Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU, and Netflix’s Monster.
She is an adjunct professor at Fordham University, a company member of The Actors Center, a longtime member of Ensemble Studio Theatre, and a trustee of New Federal Theatre and Impact Theatre NYC. She served as Executive Artistic Director of Passage Theatre for 22 years.
