I decided to leave for the east coast tomorrow. The constancy of the fireworks in my neighborhood and the whole city is driving me and my darling dogs crazy. Poor Esmeralda, who is 13, gets so panicked and there is no soothing her – melatonin, Benadryl, hugs, pats – nothing. And Lula just runs around like she has ingested a large amount of cocaine. Fun times. Looking forward to peace and quiet and the open road. I love a good adventure. Driving across the country is an expansive time to dream, assess and ponder all the possibilities. It’s a big ride and I am all in.
