Suze Muses

Summer is my season. The resplendent flora, the verdant grasses and leaves and summer fruit: cherries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, nectarines, plums, peaches, watermelon. All that lushness fuels my spirit but the sunshine on my skin is what I imagine mainlining must be like. Light Light Light – bathing in light splashing through feathery leaves and casting playful shadows of the reaching arms of birches and maples and pines. Longer light means late dinners in the evening air and after dinner saunters. I love eating outside, grilling, fires in the pit, bare and sandy feet, the squishy delight of moss and plump grass under my toes, running around scantily clad and swimming. Ducking and diving into creeks, ponds, rivers, lakes, bays and the zenith – the ocean. The christening of the salty brine is a touchstone for all that is good with being an earthly body.
