The human condition is a rollercoaster ride of events, passages and adventures. It is chock full of thoughts, sensations and big feelings. Often how we express our emotions just skims the surface of what is really going on with us. Writing about them can give us some clarity. For example, you might feel furious about some situation but when you examine this anger closer you might find that is just a secondary emotion and what you are really feeling is afraid or hurt. Writing helps us to process what we’re really feeling, how we get through our days, our relationship to others and to ourselves and figure out what makes us tick; makes us who we are. Digging down into the specifics of how our feelings manifest themselves inside and out gives a clearer picture of who we are and how we navigate being on the earth plane. The more you know, the more you know. And in the words of Rilke, “No feeling is final.”
